Gqeberha police are searching for five men who robbed passengers on a bus travelling on the R-75 on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said the incident happened just before 7 am when the driver stopped to pick up passengers between Johnson Road and the Chatty Dip.
She said an armed suspect wearing a balaclava got onto the bus and demanded the driver's cell phone and cash.
Janse Van Rensburg said four others suspects also boarded the bus and robbed the passengers of their cell phones before fleeing.
Algoa Bus Company confirmed the incident, saying the matter was under police investigation.
