Two pedestrians were killed, and one was seriously injured, in seperate incidents in Nelson Mandela Bay over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, WO Alwin Labans says in the first incident on Saturday evening, the driver of a silver double-cab Isuzu bakkie hit two young women, aged between 16 and 18, in Buffelsfontein Road.
He says one of them died at the scene, and the other was taken to a local hospital.
The driver of the bakkie was arrested, and he will appear in court on Monday.
Labans says in the second incident, a 30-year old man was hit by a minibus taxi in Uitenhage Road. He died at the scene.
No-one was arrested, and police are investigating cases of culpable homicide.
