Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of culpable homocide, after two women - who tried to cross the N2 near the Standford Road offramp- were killed after being hit by a car on Friday afternoon,
Spokesperson, WO Alwin Labans says an 11-year old boy narrowly escaped death.
He says the three were busy crossing the highway, when a VW Polo hit the two women, aged 72 and 21.
They died at the scene.
Labans says the 5 occupants in die Polo escaped unharmed, but were treated for shock.
