Police have released the identities of two of the three people who died in a hail of bullets in Nelson Mandela Bay on Good Friday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said they were Davedene Van Zyl (21) and Johannes Bruintjies (36) from Mpuku Street in Timothy Valley.
Several gunmen opened fire on them as they exited a ticket office of a bus company in Perridgevale after apparently purchasing tickets for George.
Naidu said that a third deceased, an innocent bystander, has yet to be identified.
She said two suspects, who were subsequently arrested following a high-speed car chase, have been linked to the murders and will be charged accordingly.
“They will appear in court on Tuesday, on three cases of murder, attempted murder (for shooting at police officials), the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and possession of the suspected stolen property.
Police are still searching for the remaining suspects.
