Uitenhage police are searching for 2 men who stabbed and killed a man during a robbery in Kwanobuhle over the weekend.
The attackers also robbed the man's 21-year-old daughter of her cellphone before fleeing.
Meanwhile, police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu has appealed to the public not to buy stolen goods.
The appeals follows a house robbery in which jewellery, including Kruger rands, and computer equipment worth more than half a million rand was stolen.
No one was injured during the home invasion and police are also searching for two suspects.
Meanwhile 18 Eastern Cape youths are due in court on Monday on charges of attempted murder.
This follows a weekend faction fight in which a 19 year old youth was seriously injured.
He remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Police captain Jackson Manatha says the arrested youths are from the Mkhonkotho and Holela villages in Centane.
