The Hawks in the Eastern Cape have arrested two more suspects in connection to the murder of Bay Constable Callan Andrews.
Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana said the arrests were made on Monday afternoon.
"The two suspects, aged 27, will appear at the Gelvandale Magistrates Court on Wednesday," says Mhlakuvana.
This comes after Andrews was brutally gunned down in Helenvale on New Year's Eve as he was helping to push a broken-down police vehicle on Voisen Road.
On Tuesday ,a 17-year-old teenager made his second court appearance at Nerina House Youth Centre in connection with the murder, and the matter was remanded to the 24th of February for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the two suspects are set to appear at the Gelvandale Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Memorial services for the slain police officer will be held during this week, with the official memorial services from the South African Police Services taking place in Thursday.
