Two men were killed and another seriously injured following separate mob justice attacks in Nelson Mandela Bay at the weekend - in New Brighton and in Kwazekhele.
Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu says the first incident took place in Tubali Street in Kwazekhele on Friday evening in which a 28-year-old man badly was badly assaulted.
He also had burn wounds all over his body and died later in hospital.
Colonel Naidu says the same evening, a bystander at a crime scene allegedly tried to steal the cellphone of a murder victim.
Community members pelted him with stones but dispersed when police arrived - the man is in a critical condition in hospital.
Colonel Naidu says the third incident took place in New Brighton where an ambulance passing by picked up a man lying in Ngadini street.
He had been stabbed and had also sustained several burn wounds and died on the way to hospital.
Police in the Metro are warning communities that there is no justification whatsoever for acts of mob justice.
