Two people have been killed and 13 others injured when a minibus taxi overturned on the N9 between Middelburg and Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the driver of a Quantum minibus, with a Cape Town registration number, lost control of the vehicle early on Saturday morning after a Kudu crossed the road, and the driver swerved to avoid a collision.
He says a man and a woman were declared dead at the scene, while three passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
Ten other people were slightly injured.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
