Police in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating two cases of culpable homicide following fatal accidents on Saturday.
A woman passenger in a "jikeleza" taxi died when the vehicle was involved in a collision with another car in Ponanathini Road in Kwanobuhle in Uitenhage.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said two people were injured, while two people in the other vehicle escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Siyolo Mguda died in an accident on the Rocklands Road on Saturday.
Naidu says it's alleged that he swerved to avoid trailer hitched to a truck at a business that had been "jutting out" into the road.
"He lost control and drove onto gravel and hit into a tree. He died on impact," she said.
