The Eastern Cape Transport Department has reported the deaths of two people in a horror head-on accident this weekend.
Department spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, said the accident happened on Saturday on the N2 outside Mthatha.
He said the drivers of a Toyota Quantum mini-bus and a sedan were both killed in the smash.
Binqose said one person in the mini-bus was injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment.
He said a culpable homicide docket has been opened for further investigation.
The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
