Two people were killed in an accident on the N6, between Komani, formerly Queenstown and Jamestown on Saturday evening.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says a truck and a Nissan X-Trail collided head-on.
He says the driver and passenger in the X-Trail died on impact.
Bramwell says the victims were trapped inside the wreckage and the jaws of life had to be used to free the bodies.
He says the truck driver and his passenger were slightly injured and were treated at the scene.
Jamestown police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
