Two men in their thirties were killed following a head-on collision on the N2 near Mossel Bay on Thursday.
The accident happened shortly after 8 am on the N2 between Vleesbaai and the Kleinberg turn-offs near Mossel Bay, in the direction of Cape Town.
A spokesperson for KwaNonqaba police Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp says the driver of a Ford Ranger bakkie and a Toyota Hilux bakkie collided head-on.
He says both men were declared dead on the scene.
WO Kapp says there were no other occupants in the vehicles.
One lane of the N2 was closed for a few hours but has since been re-opened for traffic.
The names of the victims have not yet been released and a case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
One of the deceased is a local resident from Mossel Bay while the identity of the other is not yet known.
