Hawks investigate break-in at Hogsback police station

The Hawks in the Eastern Cape are investigating a break-in at the Hogsback police station on Wednesday.

Spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela says at the moment they can confirm that a state cellphone, bulletproof vest, a gun and a marked vehicle were stolen.

She says the car was later found abandoned but the gun is still missing.

Reports that multiple firearms were stolen during load-shedding has not be confirmed.
