Two people were killed in an accident involving three vehicles on the R334 Rocklands / Kariega road on Saturday evening.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says according to information, a Toyota Avanza was travelling in the direction of Rocklands and in an attempt to avoid hitting cattle on the road, it collided head-on with a VW Golf with two occupants who were travelling in the direction of Kariega.
She says a third vehicle also travelling in the direction of Kariega, collided into the back of the VW Golf.
The driver of the Avanza and a 30-year-old woman in the Golf died at the scene.
The driver of the Golf was taken to hospital.
Kariega police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
