Police in Kariega have arrested two men for the death of a man who was severely assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, says the deceased, Tarquin Booysen, and the suspects were apparently involved in an argument at a hotel in Gibbon Street.
She said a fight then broke out and Booysen was severely assaulted.
Swart said he died on the scene and the two men, aged 20 and 29, were arrested later.
She said they were due to appear in court on Monday on a charge of murder.
