Police said two men will appear in court in Plettenberg Bay on Monday in connection with the death of a shopkeeper during a robbery at a spaza shop last week.
Sergeant Christopher Spies said the two, aged 23 and 25, were arrested at separate locations on Thursday and Friday by local police, Garden Route District Rural Flying Squad, local security companies, and community volunteers.
He said the arrests relate to the murder of a 27-year-old Ethiopian national who was shot during an armed robbery at a shop in Sishuba Street in Phase 3, Kwanokuthula on Wednesday.
Spies said one suspect was arrested on Thursday while the second suspect was arrested at a house in Kwanokuthula the following day, where he was found hiding in the ceiling.
He said they were detained on charges of murder, armed robbery, and the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
