Uitenhage police say a seven-year-old boy, Dawid Arendse died inside an ambulance en route to hospital, after he was hit by a motor vehicle in North West Street in Kamesh on Friday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli says details around the accident are unknown, and police are investigating.
He says in a seperate incident on Friday, it is alleged that the driver of a white Nissan truck hit a seven-year-old boy at a T-junction in the informal area known as Phola Park in Kwa Nomzamo at Humansdorp.
Nkohli says the child was declared dead at the scene.
Police are investigating cases of culpable homicide.
