Port Elizabeth police are investigating two cases of attempted murder after two young men, aged 19 and 20, were shot and wounded in Schauderville in the gang-ridden Northern Areas on Wednesday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said the men were sitting in the doorway of an outbuilding when gunmen opened fire from the gate.
She said one of the men was wounded in the buttocks and leg while the other was shot in the leg.
No arrests had been made and police were investigating a possible link to gang activity in the area.
