Mthatha police have arrested two suspects following an armed robbery in Libode on Friday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says a 28-year old man employed by the Department of Social Development and a 26-year old man were arrested in Mthatha on Sunday.
Fatyela says police also recovered a vehicle that had been hijacked in Uitenhage in January, as well as several fire-arms, including a shot gun, an R-5 rifle, and dozens of rounds of ammunition.
Police also recovered a so-called skimming device and three stamps belonging to the Department of Home Affairs.
Fatyela says the suspects, who will appear in court soon, are linked to 12 other robbery cases.
