Two arrested in Oudsthoorn for being in possession of dagga

Two men have been arrested in Oudtshoorn for being possession of 19.2kg of dagga.

Police Captain Malcolm Pojie says police stopped and searched a bus enroute from Bloemfontein to Cape Town, following a tip-off from members of the public.

He says they found the dagga concealed in two suitcases, and the two men, believed to be from Mossel Bay were arrested at the scene.

Pojie says they believe that the dagga was destined for distribution in the Southern Cape.

The men will appear in Court on Monday.
