Western Cape police have arrested two people and seized perlemoen worth an estimated one million rand.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, says the men were en-route from the Cape to Johannesburg when they were stopped by police at Uniondale in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He says upon searching the bakkie, police found more than 4 300 units of perlemoen.
Pojie says the driver was also found in possession of a quantity of Tik.
He says the suspects from Hawston will be charged with the illegal possession of perlemoen, whilst the driver will face an additional charge of the illegal possession of drugs when they appear in court on Monday.
