Police have arrested a 62-year-old female tavern owner and a 43-year-old man in connection with the murder of a father and son whose bodies were found near Addo Road in Gqeberha on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the arrests were made early on Tuesday evening in Missionvale.
She said a licenced firearm belonging to the female businesswoman and a Hyundai Atos vehicle were confiscated.
Naidu said they were detained on two charges of murder and kidnapping.
She said Nelson Mandela Bay District Commissioner, Major-General Vuyisile Ncata commended the swift arrests for the murder of 45-year-old Edwin de Vos of Windvogel and his 19-year-old son Leonardo.
Police said earlier that the two, who were mechanics, were last seen leaving their home with a woman whose vehicle they had previously repaired.
They were reported missing on Tuesday and their bodies, with gunshot wounds, were found on a dirt road near Addo Road in the Motherwell area in the afternoon.
Naidu said the two are expected to appear in court soon.
