Willowvale police have arrested two men aged 26 and 30 for allegedly killing an “unknown man”, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.
“It is alleged that the deceased, who is still unknown, had a misunderstanding with [the] two suspects. The three were all passengers in a [minibus] taxi at Ngqaqeni location, Nakazana village, Willowvale on Tuesday 2 November 2017 at about [5.30p],” Captain Jackson Manatha said.
“The two suspects attacked the deceased with knives. He died on the scene," Manatha said.
"Community members had assisted police with the identification of the men. Both men were traced and arrested. They would appear in the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court soon," Manatha said.
Butterworth acting policing cluster commander Colonel Ncedo Ngwendze thanked the community members for their assistance in identifying the suspects.
