Two men who were arrested with four others for the brutal murders of 18 people in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape last month, abandoned their bail when they appeared in court on Tuesday.
The National Prosecuting Authority said their case was postponed to next month for further investigation.
Zenande Paya, and Mawethu Nomdlembu, were initially charged with four counts of the unlawful possession of three AK47 assault rifles, a 243 Steyr Mannlicher rifle, as well as 82 rounds of live ammunition but also face 18 counts of murder.

NPA regional spokesperson, Luxolo Tyali, said Paya and Nomdlembu, will be back in court on 26 November when they will join their four co-accused, Siphosoxolo Myekethe (45), Aphiwe "AP" Ndende (25), Lwando Antony Abi (33) and Bonga Hintsa (31), in the dock.
Paya and Nomdlembu were arrested in Flagstaff on 17 October where they were found with four rifles and ammunition that allegedly moved to other locations after the Lusikisiki killings.
Ndende and Hintsa were arrested in Port Shepstone, while Abi was apprehended in East London on 16 October, and Myekethe earlier on 7 October in Mthimde Location in the Lusikisiki district.
