Twelve people die in horror-smash in EC

Twelve people have been killed in a horror-smash on the R67 between Whittlesea and Queenstown.
Provincial traffic spokesperson Tshepo Machea says the accident happened at about half past eight last night when a Mahindra SUV and a Colt Bakkie collided head-on.
A third vehicle then ploughed into the side of the Mahindra.

Machea says 11 adults and a child were killed in the accident.
Two people escaped with minor injuries.
