Police in Tsomo in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt for two men who attacked and raped two elderly women on Sunday night.
Spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says the women aged 91 and 75 were sleeping together in their home when the suspects broke in through the window.

He says when police arrived they found the body of the 91-year-old woman lying outside the house.
It is not yet clear what type of weapon was used to kill her.
A case of murder and two cases of rape are under investigation.
