Police in Port Elizabeth are appealing to construction companies to caution their drivers to be careful due to reports of the stoning of vehicles
Captain Andre Beetge says they believe the violence could be linked to a strike in the construction sector which started this week.
Beetge says there have been reports of trucks being stoned in the Motherwell area, extending to Uitenhage road.
"We've been having some construction vehicles, mainly trucks, being stoned. So far we've had four case reported to Motherwell police and some reports from Ikamvelihle police station," he said.
Beetge says one person has been reported injured after being hit by a brick in the face.
