Three trucks were damaged over the last 24 hours in both Paterson and Motherwell respectively.
Police Spokesperson Detective Colonel Marlize Dippenaar says it is suspected that the damages are linked to the National Truck Strike.
In the first incident on Sunday, a truck en route to Johannesburg from Coega was forced to stop on the N2 at Olifantskop Pass.
Dippenaar says the driver escaped unharmed after three suspects in a silver Polo, set the truck alight with a flammable object.
