A truck driver has been killed in a head-on collision with another truck on the N2 under the Makhanda/Port Alfred Bridge.
Provincial Traffic Department spokesperson Charles Bramwell says the two trucks collided shortly before 7 am on Tuesday.
The driver of the other truck was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Bramwell says officials are on the scene and traffic is being diverted onto the N2 on-ramp and off-ramp of the bridge.
