Police in George are investigating a case of culpable homicide following the death of a truck driver on the Outeniqua pass on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says according to eyewitnesses, they saw the truck moving slowly over the road towards a rocky curve where it came to a standstill at 9 am.
He says the 50-year-old driver, Jurie Adonis was found dead in his truck.
Captain Pojie says there was minimal damage to the truck itself and a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
