DA Nelson Mandela Bay Councillor and former Mayor of the Metro Athol Trollip has laid criminal charges pertaining to the Integrated Public Transport System (IPTS) against current Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Mongameli Bobani and ANC Regional Secretary Zandisile Qupe.
Trollip laid the charges at the Humewood police station in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday morning and said he was awaiting a case number.
He said that over the past decade the DA has been at the forefront of fighting and exposing grand scale looting of IPTS funding.
