The trial of a man who allegedly killed a Hartenbos farmer will start in the Mossel Bay High Court on Monday.
The 34-year-old Lamlani Booi was the only one of six suspects who was arrested after Freddie Tolman was shot and killed on his farm Outeniquabosch in December 2014.
Fifty-four-year-old Freddie Tolman was found dead in his vehicle after being shot during a failed robbery attempt.
Police said that up to six men may have been involved in the attack on Tolman.
The attackers reportedly tried to ambush Tolman on a dirt road by placing a branch of wood across the road.
When Tolman apparently refused to stop and sped off, the men opened fire, hitting him in the chest.
Police said the fleeing gunmen hijacked a couple and then abandoned their vehicle at the Dana Bay off ramp.
