Trial date looms for PE businessman accused of assault

Port Elizabeth businessman, Naadir Abader, made a brief appearance in court on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm as well as a charge of malicious damage to property.

This follows the alleged assault of 25-year-old beautician and local radio presenter Josca Human who laid a charge in June.

Lawyer, Danie Gouws, says the matter was postponed to Thursday for a trial date to be set and for the defence to obtain a copy of the docket.

Abader is out on bail of R500.
