An Eastern Cape Traffic Officer who was killed in a horror accident on the N2 at Kinkelbos outside Nelson Mandela Bay on Tuesday has been identified.
Police spokesperson Captain Marius McCarthy identified her as 47-year-old Sisanda Hadi.
He says police are looking into the circumstances that led to the crash.
It is alleged that a truck ploughed into her as she was directing trucks towards the weighbridge.
The 34-year-old driver is currently being detained at the Kinkelbos police station.
A case of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving is under investigation.
Captain McCarthy says he is expected to appear in the Alexandria Magistrates court on Thursday.
According to Hadi's social media, she has been working for the Eastern Cape Department of Transport since November 2008.
