Traffic ground to a halt on the N2 in Colchester outside Port Elizabeth on Friday morning, after protesting business people blocked the Sunday's River bridge.
Police spokeperson, WO Thembi Gwe says the angry protestors demanded to speak to the mayor, to air their dissatisfaction for not being awarded tenders for work in the Coega Industrial Development Zone.
She told AlgoaFM News that they barricaded the bridge with vehicles, removed the car keys, and toi-toyed.
