A tow truck driver has been shot dead in Phoenix, north of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.
Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said on Sunday night just before 11 pm paramedics responded to reports of a shooting along Sunford Drive in Phoenix.
"Reports from the scene indicate that a tow truck driver, a male believed to be in his forties had sustained multiple gunshot wounds when he was shot while in his vehicle," said Herbst.
"Medics assessed the patient and found that he had no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene."
Police are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been reported yet.
