Three people who pretended to be seeking application forms for enrolment robbed staff members at the Redhouse Primary School in Gqeberha.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said two men and a woman arrived at around 9.30 on Thursday morning saying they wanted enrolment forms.
She said after they were allowed inside the school, one male suspect showed the complainant a firearm that was in the front of his pants.
"They then took the complainant's iPhone 11, the secretary's HP-branded laptop, and an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe,” she said.
Janse Van Rensburg said the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and not short were fired.
No arrests were made and police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact the Swartkops police.
