Three Pep Store outlets robbed in Nelson Mandela Bay

Police are investigating at least three armed robberies at branches of Pep Stores in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Robberies were reported at stores in Uitenhage, Hunters Retreat and Bluewater Bay in Nelson Mandela Bay this week, with the latest one reported on Thursday.

In all three cases, the robberies were committed by one person who threatened staff before taking money.

Police said in the two cases in Port Elizabeth the robber fled in a White VW Citi Golf while in Uitenhage the suspect fled on foot.

However, a police spokesperson could not confirm if all three incidents were linked at this point.
