Police in Gqeberha are investigating the deaths of three men who were shot at two separate locations in the city's Northern Areas in the last 24 hours.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says on Sunday afternoon, community members alerted police about a body lying on Barends Street.
She says when officers arrived they found the body of 30-year-old Aubrey September with a gunshot wound to the head.
Colonel Naidu says the circumstances around his death are not yet known and no suspects have been identified yet.
She says on Sunday evening, officers in Chatty were alerted to a double murder along Standford Road.
Colonel Naidu says they found two men on the side of the road, in the bushes, with multiple gunshot wounds.
She says they are believed to be in their mid-twenties or early thirties.
One deceased was wearing a green pair of jeans, a yellow T-shirt and a jacket with grey shoes, while the other man wore a grey pair of jeans, a blue overall top and black/red Adidas shoes.
The case is being investigated by the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit in Gqeberha.
