Eastern Cape police are investigating the murder of three men whose bodies were found in a car on the R408 between Dutywa and Willowvale.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, said members of the community in the Swekileni Locality near Dutywa made the grim discovery early on Monday morning.
He said the bodies of two men were found outside a bullet-riddle VW Polo with Mpumalanga registration plates, FKH 782 MP.
Kinana said the third victim was found inside the car and was believed to have been in the driver's seat.
"All three deceased had bullet wounds to their bodies,” he said.
He said the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation and no arrests were made at this stage.
SAPS is appealing to anyone who may have information on the triple murders to contact Dutywa Police or the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer, Vlooh on 072 449 83 94.
