Uitenhage police arrested three suspects in Kwanobuhle, following a house robbery on Sunday morning.
Spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart says it is alleged that a couple was asleep in Brand van Zyl Street, Uitenhage when they were awoken at 03:20 by three intruders who demanded cash and a firearm.
Swart says the suspects were armed with knives and ransacked the home in search of the items.
The husband got upset and argued with the suspects, and one of them stabbed him in the stomach and shoulder.
She says the suspects demanded the keys of their vehicle and fled with the car, cellphones and a computer laptop.
Capt. Swart says members of the K-9 unit spotted a silver Toyota Corolla in Kwanobuhle, and apprehended three men and recovered all the stolen property.
The three suspects, aged between 21 - 30 are due to appear in the Uitenhage Magistrates Court this week on a charge of house robbery.
