Three killed in violent Eastern Cape robbery

Three people have been killed in a robbery in Ntabankulu in the former Transkei.

Police captain Mlungisi Matidane says a Pakistani shopkeeper and his watchman were shot dead in Bhonxa location on Thursday night.

In a twist to the drama one of the four robbers was also shot dead by his accomplices as they fled the scene.

Matidane says an undisclosed sum of money was taken.

He says the hunt for the gunmen is continuing.
