Three people, believed to be holidaymakers, have been killed in an accident on the N2 outside Great Brak River in the Garden Route.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie said the crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He said, “a preliminary investigation suggests that the driver of the Lexus, with three passengers, lost control of the vehicle and left the road near the Maalgate bridge on the N2.”
Pojie said all four occupants were thrown out of the vehicle, but a surviving passenger managed to find help and contacted the George police.
He said the person was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and has since been discharged.
The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
