Three people have been killed and more than 20 injured after the driver of a bus lost control of his vehicle in the early hours of Friday morning.
The bus travelled on the Robberg/Airport road, due to the closure of the N2 by protesters.
It is alleged that the driver lost control in a bend due to wet road surface conditions following overnight rain.
Several roleplayers rushed to the scene including the Bitou Fire Department, SAPS, forensic pathology and four ambulances.
The N2 has been closed since Tuesday due to ongoing violent protests.
During the week 59 people have been arrested and are expected to appear in court soon.
