Three killed, five critical in head-on collision in the Eastern Cape

At least three people were killed and five others seriously injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a Toyota Avanza on the N2 between Komga and Mooiplaas in the Eastern Cape on Saturday morning.

Traffic Law Enforcement Deputy Director, Charles Bramwell says three people in the Avanza were killed instantly, while five others were critically injured.

He says two occupants from the truck also sustained serious injuries.

The cause of the accident is not known, and police are investigating.
