Three people have died tragically after a Pakistani national doused himself with petrol and set himself alight.
Eastern Cape police said the two other victims were 41-year-old Luvuyo Funaphi and 23-year-old Sange Tsawe, who also died in the ensuing fire in the man's trading store in Gaqa Location, Nxaxho Village, Centane, shop this weekend.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, identified the Pakistani man as Shakeel Ahmed.
"The three all burnt to death inside the trading store that was rented by the Pakistan national whose age is not known. The motive for setting himself alight with petrol in the presence of other people is not known."
"Centane Police have opened arson and inquest cases for further investigation," Manatha said..
