Three die in Butterworth accident

Three people were killed in an accident near Butterworth on Saturday night.

Police Captain Jackson Manatha says a fourth person was injured in the two car collision, on the N2 between Butterworth and Dutywa.

He says the cause of the accident is not known, and police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.

Manatha says the names of the deceased are still being withheld until their next of kin have been informed.
