Eastern Cape police have arrested three men for the murder of three initiates found shot to death in a traditional initiation hut in Tsomo on Saturday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Khaya Tonjeni, said the arrests were made by members of a task team established to hunt down the killers.
He said the suspects, aged between 27 and 37 were arrested between Monday and Tuesday at Jojweni and Tsomo.
Tonjeni said task team members also seized a firearm and ammunition, and eight cell phones.
Eastern Cape Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General, Liziwe Ntshinga, thanked the local communities in making the breakthrough.
The suspects were due to appear in court on Wednesday on charges of murder.
