The Police in Willowvale has arrested three men in connection with the murder of a 52-year-old woman.
A passer-by noticed the woman’s body in the bush near Willowvale on Sunday. Police were alerted and immediately launched a probe into the murder. The woman was thought to be a resident of Willowvale informal settlement.
Captain Jackson Manatha said the woman, who did not have visible injuries, “appeared to have been strangled”.
A quick breakthrough led the Willowvale police to the three suspects aged between 18 and 26. However, police said they had not yet worked out the motive for the murder “at this point in time”.
The suspects will appear before the Willowvale Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
