Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder, after the severely assaulted body of an unknown man, estimated to be about 30-years-old, was found in Soweto-on-Sea on Monday morning.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge says it is suspected that he was beaten with blunt objects and cuts made to his legs by unknown assailants.
He says it is not ruled out that the murder could have been a vigilante or revenge attack.
Any person with information to assist the police in identifying the person can contact their nearest police.
On Friday two people were killed and another injured in what appeared to be vigilante attacks in Soweto-on-Sea.
The body of 29-year-old Masixole Gama was found next to the Zwide graveyard and the body of 25-year-old Lubabalo Zenzile was found next to a salt pan at Soweto-on-Sea.
No arrests have been made.
